SLOT TRENCH DRAINS
WHAT MAKES SLOT DRAINS DIFFERENT FROM TRENCH DRAINS?
The main difference is the width of the open part (the slot) of a slot trench drain. The width of a slot drain is much narrower than on traditional trench drain systems; however, slot drains still provide a significant volume of water flow. At Standartpark, we offer three main options:
- MICRO slot drain system
- STANDARD slot drain system
- WALL slot drain system
MICRO is only 1" in height of slot grate and is good for small areas and thin paving materials.
The STANDARD slot drain is 4" in height of slot grate and mostly used for brick paving or concrete pouring.
The WALL slot drain system is ideal when you need to install it against an existing wall or foundation. It is also 4" in height of slot grate.
SOME TECHNICAL INFO ON STANDARTPARK'S SLOT DRAIN SYSTEM
All channels come with a standard size 3.3 ft (1 m) in length and 4" in internal channel width. The depth of a channel varies, depending on the amount of water you need to remove and the technical conditions of your base.
The available depths of channels are: 2", 3", 4", 6" and 8". They come with two end caps and can be connected in line with no additional adapters. Also, there is not any special adapter needed to connect two channels on 90 degrees.
Channels with depth 4", 6" and 8" have a side (cut-out) outlet with 3" diameter, bottom (cut-out) outlet with 4" diameter and end cap (cut-out) outlet with 3" diameter.
Our channel with 3" depth has 4" diameter outlet at the bottom and our channel with 2" depth has 3" diameter outlet at the bottom of a channel.
The height of MICRO slot drain is 1". STANDARD and WALL slot drain systems have 4" height. The opening side - the part of the system which is on top of the surface - is 5/8" for all of our slot trench drain system types.
In addition, you can order a slot grate cover that will prevent the system from developing large debris inside of it.
